Leaking

Hey guys
Now this topic is really quite embarassing for me, and above all, pissing me of :x :x  . Earlier , that is , until 1 year and a half after chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome I never had such a problem. But now, (just like everytime you get used to your situation, something new comes up) I started to have this problem :

After I urinate, no matter how I try to void properly, and how long I stay , and how many tissues I use, 5 min later I have a huge spot on my underwear. And that happens only after going to the restroom ( which is quite frequently ).
Any ideas why this is happening, and how to deal with that ?

( Are some of you experiencing that too ? )

Thank you

Having piss leakage is standard operating procedure for me. I try to wear thick underwear and dark pants.

I've cut back on the spicy foods I eat and have been taking Prelief. It has helped me. Have you tried Prelief?

Hi winding_road

It worth trying to sit down when peeing, it helps emptying better. Urologist advise "normal" people to do this also, because it reduces the chanse of infections...so I've heard.
My urologist also advised me to "milk" the scrotum and penis for the last few drops. That said, I haven't had much problems with this, either there is just a few extra drops (which is quite common) or I have to go pee once more...
I think you can buy something which absorbes the urine also is you have problems with leakage- it's not a diper, but some kind of stuff which absorbes small amonts of pee and hindres smell. But I don't know more about it, just heard about it a few years ago. Probably best to talk with your doc or someone at a pharmacy- they usually know. That said, I don't know how much of a problem this is for you, and I know this is the last resort..

Its a common problem here. My personal theory is that the overstressed muscles in the prostate cannot effectively close off the urine stream. This coupled with incomplete emptying of the bladder also due to overstressed muscles.

Keep a tissue in your shorts when your done.

Been there. I am just coming down from a pretty rough flareup that I have been having since August (btw....Zyrtec can cause some flareup problems. Did for me.). I have the urine issue. This seems to be part of CPPS.
