Stumbled across this webpage http://www.krisiloffdiet.com and I'm just wondering if anyone tried his method?
Also wondering about good books on dietary modifications?

Krisiloff diet
Age:25 Onset age:20 | Symptoms: Bladder/rectum pain, heartburn, sexual dysfunction, urethra and perineum pain, IBS, chronic fatigue. Makes worse: bad diet, poor sleep, alcohol. Makes better: positive thinking, good diet, drinking lots of water, internal/exernal stretching
It looks a real load of rubbish to me. They don't tell you the first thing about how the diet works and expect you to fork out money for it!
Age: 44 | Onset Age:41 | Symptoms: abdominal pain and discomfort, urinary frequency, low libido | Helped By: quercetin, diazepam, neurontin, Elavil | Worsened By: sex, alcohol, caffeine
Yeah, I thought so too. Just wanted to make sure.

food and CPPS
Avoid:
By avoiding these it has made a big difference in the frequency and pain. It is not easy eating bland food but things have been going well for the past few days. Our five worst foods
#1: Coffees and Teas
#2: Cranberry & Other Fruit Juices
#3: Carbonated beverages
#4: Tomato Products
#5: Multivitamins (esp Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid) and Vitamin B6)
#6: Tobacco

Roberth, how long did you follow the diet before you saw improvement? A problem for me is that this diet conflicts with a IBS diet I'm thinking about trying...
It'll be oatmeal and water for me the rest of my life
it seems as good advice though.

diet change
Moonrock,
I noticed a difference after only three days. The burning sensation in the bladder has decreased significantly.
What in the diet can you not eat?

That sounds really good!roberth wrote:Moonrock,

What in the diet can you not eat?
The IBS diet I've looked into says that shouldn't eat meat, dairy, all fats, a lot of different fruit and vegatables, coffee, soda pop, alcohol, a lot of food containing fibre...etc etc. All foods that the bowels have a hard time digesting..
I am a pretty health eater, but this sounds insane
I think the main thing is to cut back or cut totally coffee, soda pop, meat, high-fat products, artificial products (sweeteners etc), and boil vegetables so they are easier digested, and acid drinks and food. I hope this will do the trick.
What are the worst triggers for you guys? Also relating to IBS.

Moorock,
I have been suffering for many years, tried all the standard fixes like Antibiotics, physical therapy, relaxation and so forth. It wasn't until I started to read posts on this forum that I considered that food may irritate my symptoms. If I drink a glass of Gatorade it feels like a hot coal is dropped into my bladder. It is the damn citric acid! But, it does not stop there. I had given up coffee, chocolate and caffeine without results. If was very difficult to give up these foods but since I still wasn't making progress I have given up any potential spicy food along with foods that are high in potassium. I now know why our ancestors traveled around the globe to find spices; what a bland diet! But, the pain is slowly subsiding. Bye for now.

What works for me.
My current diet is a blend of elimination specifics and wheat.
No Carbonated bevs, chocolate, coffee, alcohol.
No wheat in anything (and its in a lot of stuff). Read the label. Soups, steak sauce, creams, gravy, malt, oatmeal... it all had to go.
I have a lot of steak, cheese, sausage, salads, eggs, chicken, all beef hot dogs, potatoes, yogourt. La Choy soy sauce is OK. McDonald's big breakfast with no pancakes or biscuit.
I also cheat on the alcohol with wine or margerita's once in a while and I feel it.
When I break from this diet, I can tell within about 2-3 hours. Its been about a month or so and has been a great breakthrough for me. I still get pains but reduced them 80%.
