Haemorrhoids / hemorrhoids / piles - cure

The theory of pelvic myoneuropathy states that any trauma to the pelvis, which includes haemorrhoids, can precipitate and exacerbate chronic pelvic pain.

As a one-time sufferer myself, I'd like to pass on a cure I heard from an old timer in a far off place.

Most people in the world SQUAT on their haunches to defecate.

We in the western world like to sit on thrones.

This has helped to cause our haemorrhoids / hemorrhoids / piles. Why? Because just before the anus the rectum "kinks" when you are sitting on a chair. This kink is straightened out when you squat, as nature intended you to do when passing stool. :agree:

If you visit toilets in Asia you generally find they are merely holes in the ground. And hemorrhoids are far less common in Asia and other "less developed" parts of the world. Here is a typical Japanese squat toilet:

More from China and elsewhere:

So what to do? Get up on the toilet, on the plastic/wood seat itself, with your feet (don't stand on the ceramic base directly in case it cracks from the weight and injures you severely), and squat down.
:moon:

Caution: if you weigh more than 220lbs (100kg), this technique is dangerous because the toilet could shatter beneath you. Rather do the next best thing: while sitting on the toilet, bend over and grasp your ankles, putting your chest to your knees.

You are absolutely right!

Not only will this prevent and cure hemorrhoids, but many other colon and bladder and pelvic problems as well.

There is an entire website devoted to the ill-effects of the bizarre "porcelain throne" -- which should be studied by every gastroenterologist, urologist, and pelvic pain sufferer.

It's called http://naturesplatform.com.

IMO, I would like to point out a few things.

The above website points out one major causal factor for CPPS, the toilet seat! Now this maybe so for some people. However, my experience tells me there are several causal factors for the onset of CPPS. Stress, anxiety, continual bracing of muscles, lifestyle, diet, enviromental conditions, sexual activity.........and so on.

The above website points out the only cure for chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome is a squat toilet seat! Clinical research, informal study! This squat seat can be found on the above website.

Sorry to be a bit of a spoil sport, just thought I would enlighten you with my opinion.

Thats not to say that it wouldnt work for you, it may well do so.

This is my case...

I would, based on my own experience, strongly believe that there is relationship between hemorrhoids and CPPS.
I was diagnosed with hemorrhoids in December last year, in June I was diagnosed with prostatitis. At that time, my URO said, that my complaints about rare, but regular, pus issue from rectum has nothing to do with prostatitis and that it may be reaction to prostate massages. After continuing of my complaints he sent me to gastrospecialist and I was diagnosed with hemorrhoids. Now I wait for barrium scan and next treatment. Does anyone share similar hemorrhoids&CPPS coincidence to? If yes, did hemorrhoids cure affect positively chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome condition?
Thank you,
Pepo

Good job Jamo!

Jon108 is Jonathan Isbit, creator of the "Nature's Platform."

Jon108 is promoting his own product. However, does not disclose this information; he left it to Jamo and the Moderators to "investigate" his intentions.

If you promote a product for profit, and you don't disclaim that you have an interest in the product, you risk your credibility.

Yes, he should have disclosed that he runs the website. But I like the product and I agree that is an area western medicine has overlooked.

Pepo, I had haemorrhoids for about 25 years , CP for the last 3 years . When I went on a strict diet to help get control my CP my haemorrhoids went away . It took about a year and a half. I don't know if that helps your question , but that's how it worked for me . I still have CP but not anywhere as bad as it was . Other than this cold weather were in irritates everything from butt to front .

I think there is a relationship there too, and have posted about this frequently.

It's all speculative of course (NOT to be taken as fact) but there you go. Check this as well:

This is something that DR Wise and I spoke about. I have had minor problems with this for the past 8 years or so. He says it has to do with tension and muscles on the pelvic.

my Physio Bill Taylor showed me this and how important it can be as squating reduces straining which can flare symptoms ! :agree:

Pretty sure My PPH surgery for an internal hemmorroid is what caused my CPPS. Hell they staple your tissue over the hemmorroid which would pull and cause tension all over in there. My PT worked the scar tissue and we have stretched it out and I have no more pain where I did for almost 8 months after surgery. If I could go back I would not have had this surgery, just regulary hemmoroidectomy. More painful but I dont think it would have caused this. Also I believe when you are suffering with a hemmoroid it causes you to tense and focus and stress over it which is what is fueling CPPS.

Back in 2004, I developed a fissure, but didn't do anything about it. Then I developed another one!

Blood after a bowel movement, pain, etc. Eventually, after it got chronic, I was in so much pain I ended up in the emergency room.

I had to have a minor surgical procedure to get rid of the fissure (doctor cuts a small muscle in the anus and clears away scar tissue). This cured the fissure(s).

But one thing I noticed was that I would have rectal spasms--like the body is bracing for pain. Now that I am suffering on the other end, I notice that I still get these weird muscle spasms around the perineum area. Seems to me that the entire area is "on edge". My lower abdomen always seems tight.

Hi Silas.
I have an anal fissure also and I'm now also suffering of prostatitis. I would like to know if you recommend me to make the surgery for my fissure or you dont, because will make my prostatitis worst. I'm now treating my prostatitis. What do you think about the rectal spams? would you doit again?
Please let me know your recommendation.

Thanks.
