I agree that going to more Urologist seems fruitless but what should I do?

I could "deal" with this a lot easier if this penis irritation would go away. It actually at times causes my entire penis to feel uncomfortable. The tip of the penis burning is the most difficult. For instance its burning right now at the tip and if I touch the tip with my finger, the burning/raw issue is actually at the tip.

Should I consider Physical therapy for my pelvic muscles? It would be exterior as no one around where I live does internal PT on a mans pelvic muscles.

Will this eventually go away on its own? It will be 3 years in Sept. I have had this. I just wish for a proper diagnosis.

Penis tip pain and irritation is linked to levator ani spasm. Of course you should consider PT.

Well, I have not found a PT that deals with men and pelvic muscle therapy that is in my insurances network. ALSO ALL the Therapist require a referral which I am trying to get but none of the Urologist I went to know anything about CPPS and do not believe that is my issue.
I have got so many different answers but CPPS is what I feel I have and it all adds up. I started having this issue the same year I was diagnosed with a Heart issue. I also had a swallowing issue the same year then the Penis Pain came. 2012 was a stressful year.

I need some luck.

Have you done any self-exploration of your muscles? For example, pressing on your abdominals and thigh muscles with your fingers or a Theracane, rolling your butt muscles with a lacrosse ball, and so on? I would highly recommend doing this to see if any of your muscles are severely sensitive or aching. There might be external trigger points that you can easily treat on your own.
Age: 26 | Onset Age: 23 | Symptoms: Neuropathic-like pain and hyperalgesia (lateral/anterior thighs mostly, but distributed throughout body); Pain (penis shaft, right side, when erect for long or excess masturbation) | Previous Symptoms: Pain (testicles; penis underside, mostly near base and running up urethra, sharp/burning; perennial region, dull; ejaculatory; post-ejaculatory); Urinary (moderate incomplete voiding; moderate frequency and pain on bladder filling); Sensations (cold in head of penis) | Helped By: Stretching (especially hip rotators and flexors); Yoga (especially lunges, warrior 2, and pigeon) Trigger point release (abdominals; iliopsoas; gluteus muscles and piriformis; bulbospongiosus & ischiocavernosus; thigh adductors); Meditation (mindfulness); Walking & Aerobic Exercise | Worsened By: Stress, anxiety, too much alcohol, lack of sleep, sitting at length | Current prescriptions: nortriptyline (10 mg, 1x at night; for CNS sensitization and IBS) Previous prescriptions: hydroxyzine (10 mg, 1x at night; for urinary symptoms/mast cell stabilization; useful), clonazepam (0.25-0.5 mg, 1x at night; for anxiety/CNS sensitization; useful for short time)

I went to a massage therapist today for a "deep massage". He worked on my pelvic area and some spots on the left side were very sensitive and it hurt like HELL.

I have a prescription for Physical Therapy for CPPS. I live in Marion, Louisiana which is in North Central Louisiana 15 miles from the Arkansas border.; 30 miles from Monroe, Louisiana; 100 miles from Shreveport, Louisiana; 130 miles from Jackson,Mississippi; 330 miles from Dallas Texas; 170 miles from Little Rock, Arkansas... etc.

Does anyone know of a Physical Therapist I could go to to help me with this CPPS? I am willing to drive 150 miles one way 1x a week if needed especially for a qualified PT in CPPS.

Caedar, I have tried to find exterior trigger points. Maybe I suck at it but I cannot find any trigger points externally that cause my penis pain to elevate etc. Also, we do not do Lacrosse in Louisiana. LOL :-D I would not know where to start internally thru the rectum and I do not want matters to be made worse.

ANY HELP would be appreciated.

Within 150 ml of Marion, probably no trained people, especially if you've searched the forum for the key words like "shreveport" etc.

Self help is best in that case: get a Theracane and gently explore for intra-rectal trigger points.

You'll have to search through this forum for those key words (Dallas, "little rock" etc).

Just got off the phone with Dr. Wise. He said I was definitely a candidate to come out west. It will be Oct. at the earliest due to Vacation commitments. I was impressed; he was down to earth and listened to what I said and asked. He asked me a series of questions and after that said I was definitely a candidate for his class.

It will cost me around $6000-$6500 to do this not counting airfare BUT he was animate in saying MANY men had gotten relief from penis pain and penis tip irritation.

I am highly considering doing this in October. Any negative or positive comments on this 6-9 day class?

thanks

There are a lot of reviews of the Wise Anderson Protocol clinic in the Success Stories subforum, and elsewhere

I agree with DW that you are a good candidate.

Okay, I finally got a prescription for Physical Therapy. I already know that no one around here does internal PT on a man with CPPS. There is a particular PT 40 miles from me that works with men who have CPPS. I will start making calls tomorrow.

Is there anything in particular I should ask about this therapy or what?

ANY INFORMATION would be helpful. My biggest issue is Penis pain and constant penis tip irritation. I do have some tailbone discomfort at times and discomfort above the penis. From what I understand, this is all in my pelvis area.

Thanks in advance. If this does not help, I will be seeing Dr. Wise in October or November. Its a lot of money but I cannot take the money to the grave anyway. LOL

Try to find out what training the PT has in this area, and whether he/she knows about A Headache in the Pelvis. If not, it's not a good sign

Well, I have decided on my Therapist after talking with her. Here is one of her excerpts from their website:

Manual therapy can be hugely helpful by training the muscle to relax in order to experience relief. There are both internal and external treatments, which can be used to improve the pelvic floor muscles to normal resting tone and to create symmetry, thus comfort, of the pelvic girdle and muscles involved.

1st available appointment in early June. Fingers are crossed. I just pray I can get some help.

Went to my first PT appointment. She uses biofeedback to determine how tight the pelvic muscles are. This was sticking a probe up my rectum and looking at baselines. This appointment was a evaluation.

Normally, The reading should be below 5 preferably 2-3 in a relaxed state. Mine was 22-25. Very high. She went over several things we were going to do to loosen the pelvic muscles and lower this baseline. I definitely have pelvic tightness and she feels it is pushing the nerve around the levator ani muscles. We went thru some exercises and sent me home with instructions and exercises to start doing. I will see her 2X next week.

Anyway, she is the only therapist in the State of Louisiana that is certified in pelvic floor dysfunction. Hopefully, This will be a good outcome. She seem confident and I was there at least a hour today.
