Calm down, you are panicking too much. Stick with this site and look for answers here, block the PN forums in your firewall if you dont want to spend you life in miserable pain, CPPS/PN/Prostatitis can somatize and reading crap about it will only hurt you more, because the psyche plays a major role in this disorder.

Read this post, it helped lots of people including me.
https://ucpps.men/forum/vie ... =37&t=8416
Onset Age: 23 , Current Age: 24 Symptoms: Pain in butt/ prostate area, buttocks when sitting for long, pain during sex - especially erections were very painful... pain moved slowly to the left side after reading about the PNE bullcrap. Helped By: Relaxation, massage (temporary relief), the real difference made for me understanding that this is induced by the Brain/Central nervous system as tension, therefore addressing the tension psychologically, not physically. During flare ups I use a strong dose of tramadol - 100mg extended release, works magic for me. If your symptoms improve when distracted or during vacations and stress worsens your symptoms I urge you to:
* Read John Sarno's books
* Read Ezer's story on this site.
* Explore the TMSwiki site and read every single success story there. (even the non CPPS)
* Pay a special attention to Alan Gordon's posts.
* Read Clair Weeks book Hope and help for your nerves (apply the concepts to CPPS).
Current status: more or less cured if stressful events and emotional conflicts did not flare up my symptoms. This does not affect my life in any aspect anymore, because I dont allow it to.

Yes carbonevo I was panicking, but I guess a lot of people went through this emotions..

Update & Questions:

I'm in physical therapy since 5, 6 weeks now. After the second time I went to physical therapy I had an appointment the next day at the urologist which took me over 1 hour because I got into a traffic jam with stop & go. As soon as I arrived there I realized I didn't even notice any pain. So I guess I'm on the right way now. They work exactly at that area, and have a wide range to work with CPPS.
  • Since the physical therapy I can drive mostly without pain - and that a long time.
  • Before I had extreme pain after 5-10 mins. So there is a big success I think.
  • Also I stopped with the medicaments (Gabapentin and Saroten) - which didn't lead to more pain!
Questions:
  1. Beside PT I'm very lazy right now. What I realized is that just laying around doesn't just "stop" the recovery, it makes it worse. Is that true or just in my mind? The progress I make is useless if I work against it then with just laying around right?
  2. Does my Update story look like the right way to get back to my health? Still some hopeless moments..
  3. Is there anything else I can do? Like eating healthy (I don't eat healthy), enough sleep and living a normal day? Medicaments?
  4. Is there maybe a post or list I didn't check right now? Or should I just stick to physical therapy?

  1. If lying around gives you time to start thinking stressful thoughts, or you spend it playing computer games, then yes, it's bad. Get up and go do things.
  2. You are on the right path, for sure
  3. I think meditation can be very useful.
  4. See Carl's List for more ideas

Also agree that diet is huge. I've noticed big improvements over the last month after cutting out refined sugars, bread and eating less meat

Thanks for the fast answers, both, helpful like always! About the stressful thoughts you are completely correct.

There are another things I want to know please.
  1. I often feel this "prickling/tingling" at the perineal area and scrotum, also it change locations fast to feet etc. My thoughts and logic tells me that this is due to lack to movement and lack of circulation of blood in the lower body? Feels like it comes faster when I am lazy and just lay around... Do you agree with me at this point?
  2. I think a normally generally eating/healthy eating is positive to the muscles. Earlier I learned that if the body has no fat to process and gain strength it attacks the muscles.. I have sometimes a lack of eating due to depression so I rarely eat these days. lost 5-7kg the last weeks. This is very bad for the muscles and recovery, right?
  3. My Urologist has a therapy with shock waves / trigger point shock waves, which can also lead to a release of the muscle tenses - what's you thought about this?

  1. Not sure what that is, but search for "fasciculations" — can be a good sign
  2. No, losing weight is not a bad thing, unless you are already underweight for your height. Muscles are not attacked.
  3. It's worth trying. There are some studies supporting it.

I'm a little bit confused, but maybe it should be that way.

I'm doing frequently stretches, triggerpoint massage, being on the crosstrainer, hot baths and infrared light now. While I do these things it feels good and I can literally feel the stretching at the muscles and making them loose, but on the other hand I generally feel more pain, it's a tweak/pinch pain. Is that normal because the area is working there, so the muscles hurt / pinch more? After a long time doing nothing continually it's the reaction from the muscles now? Or is this not a good sign?

Thanks again, always helpful :)

If you have triggerpoints, you will feel pain when massaging or stretching. That's a result of treatment, to be expected.

But I feel release while doing it.

I meant I have more pinching pain in the calm times over the day then. While doing exercises I feel better but generally over the day I have more pain... is that normal?

That scares me if I'm on the right path.

Yes, that's normal. You can feel better straight after a massage or stretch.

I'm sorry for that many questions but got another important thing which I'm very confused about...

The pain area and intensity has changed so much over the last months... Maybe you can tell me something about it.

My pain now is:
- mostly just scrotum, always pinching
(feels like stitching/pinching like freshly shaved when the short hair pinch you but in a more extreme way)
- I can feel it literally only there, by touching it proves that it is only there, it's really weird
- nothing triggers that really, it comes and goes
- sitting pain / perineum not really anymore... it goes directly again to the scrotum
- most pain - being naked or wearing not fitting underwear, the loose ones where my scrotum hangs.
- but pain is a little more than it was the last months in general (perineum, groin, bulbous spongiosus) - this pains nearly left i think..

1. Would appreciate some explanation to that..
2. How should I continue now?
3. Is it a good sign that I got generally changes?

Pain moving around is typical, and tells you that this is probably CPPS and can be cured. So good news. Have you followed Carl's list?

I am happy that the area went from big to small..
But the loose underwear & naked part is confusing :/

I do follow everything in Carl's list except:
- Elavil (but got a similar one I think)
- any accredited quercetin product (but take quercetin, should I start Quercetin?)
- internal work

These 3 things necessary needed? Or should I just continue with my program and stretching, baths etc and relax?
Also does the stretching parts go to the scrotum area?

By the way I just checked Quercetin and delivery etc (I live in Austria and it would be very expensive) worth it?
S/H will make 30-40$...

Edit:
I found out it is Allodynia what makes my scrotum feel that prickling / shocking / pinching .. also when i touch there the feelings speak for allodynia..

Is it possible to get rid of that too?

Allodynia takes a while to fade. Be very patient.

I recommend any accredited quercetin product over any other form of quercetin (guaranteed content). That's if you can afford it.

Internal work with a Theracane or wand is recommended.
