I must say that my symptoms are quite mild now compared to what they were 6 weeks ago. My frequency is not normal, but I can stand it. I pee and then 45min-2 hours later I get the "feeling" of need to pee. However I dont go until my bladder feels more full. So thats why I go every 1,5-2,5 hour. I am happy to sleep through the night in most cases (95%). However lately I have had bad "nightmares" in regards to CP/IC and they are casuing me to wake up and go to the bathroom. Anyone elese had CP/IC nightmares? It might not sound so "hard" but they are scary

Take care and thanks for your support.

Try lorazepam 1mg at night for sound sleep.

Jd,

I tried your suggestion in regards to relaxation yesterday. It worked really well. I could focus much better (although not 100%) and today I feel better. So far less Frequency (might be a coincidence). I will continue this way to see. Thanks

I've brought his post back into play for NEWBIES of the forum to look at.

My recommendation to men recently diagnosed and floundering in despair as they fight to accept the condition is to understand that in time you will accept chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome and learn to benefit from it. For the first year or so you may fight against your condition (I Did) and not accept it. That's ok - give yourself time to accept it & then you can move forward with treatment.

My advice would be to click on the names of old posters and see for yourself how they got better in time (virtually all of us to do & usually a good degree better).

Some posters I recommend - Bordeaux, Jd, NOMoPain

Be patient
