dude you and I are leading the same life right now. my gf and I just broke up too and I promise a LARGE part of the problem had to do with this issue.

I have spent thousands of dollars on medicine and drs with not much relief. I would go try allergy medicine. I will say this the allergy medicine has seemed to help with some of the symptoms. I do have more energy now and I am not always tired, the pain seems to have moved from feeling like I Was sitting on a golf ball to now burning pain further up.

I have another "specialist" in a few weeks that I hope will shed some light on the allergy situation but for me it seems odd that all of this happened when I went out of the country.

this summer I have decided that I have to kick this problem and will spend all the money I need to do it. I promise you if you think this problem will get better on its own you are wrong! Go take the necessary steps and try everything!

xflashjr - your symptoms are just like mine. Golf ball in rectum feeling - significant pain. This may last a day or several days. Then moves to a burning feeling - feels like its further up in my bladder and like somone is scraping the inside of my bladder with a sharp object - this part is bad, but not as bad as the golf ball feeling. Then back to the golf ball feeling with the significant pain. That's where I am today. I have no idea what makes it change from the one to the other.

those symptoms are very true!

I have had some positive relief with the fact that I also had IBS symptoms. When I take claritin the IBS symptoms go away almost immediately (within 24 hours) this also cause a change in pain with the prostate. The problem moves from the gold ball feeling to the burning feeling in the bladder area.

My stream changes from day to day but for the most part seems somewhat strong.

I found this out this past week from my ex gf. She told me the first time we had sex she got a UTI shortly after. I suppose she might have told me or not. I got my symptoms a 2 weeks before we had sex for the first time so now I am falling back onto this being triggered by an infection. I have always thought this.

I also have been having pain in my kidney on my right side. I have had a history of kidney stones but I highly doubt this pain is coming from that.

Weird, when everything started for me, it was EXACTLY to the day when my girlfriend got a UTI. The first clinic trip I went to with regards to this condition I told the clinic doctor it was just whatever my girlfriend had, give me antibiotics or whatever.

BUT like everyone else, NO INFECTION ever found.

Maybe the stress on the urinary tract from defending against what COULD have been an infection triggered things...
