Very interesting talk about the bulbospongiosus muscle this is one muscle and understanding of it that is not talked about on here much and really not talked about on the internet in general. Bti20 and I had a few postings with each other about the bulbospongiosus muscle in the fall of 2004. Bti20 went on to have this muscle injected with Botox in dec 2004 the first couple of weeks there after he had a lot of pain in the perineum and kind of had second feelings about the Botox. Then he left for about a year and I and a few others asked where he got to he then wrote a post about how he was doing and said the Botox was a great help in how he was feeling and his progress anyone interested in this conversation can do a search about it. That post was in feb of 2006 and he has not been heard from again since so who knows how the past eight months have been for Bti20.

Not sure it the same muscle. The muscle tissue I'm talking about is just outside of the sphincter, and could actually be the external sphincter. Thats why I'm going back to the proctologist. I have diagrammed the pelvic floor and will be taking that with me.

I believe the bulbo muscles are a little further up and run on the left and right side with the urethra running down the middle of them. Although these get sore, they aren't the muscle that I can feel tense up just outside of the sphincter on the testicle side.

Hi Scoobysnacks,

I assume that the pelvic floor diagram that you mentined is some thing you got of the computer if this is the case would you be will to post it on here or the website where you found it at? I am sure I am not the only one that would like to take a look at it since finding a diagram that shows the muscles of the pelvic floor and perineum are hard to come by.

thank you

Paradoxical Relaxation is a tough concept to explain. I think I "get it" but I find it hard to describe to others...

My perferred position is to sit cross legged, with relaxation CD playing in the background. I tries to concentrate on any discomfort, pain, and tension in my body and pay particularly close attention to the pelvic area. I usually start by doing the "traditional" relaxation, which is to speak softly, 'breath in", then "relax" when I breath out. After that, I just concentrate on any remaining tension and concentrate on "accepting" these tension and discomfort. I also alternate this with a few minutes of meditating (think of NOTHING).

I know when it's working when my butt feel like it's "melting away". This usually takes about 5-8 minutes for me. Which is why I prefer the sitting position. At times I can almost feel individual muscle fiber just let go in my pelvic/groin/private areas.

ZR,

I found it on here. It will take me a minute in my spare time to do the search again. I think I found it while searching for threads on Botox, so Ill try that again. if you want do the same. But, when I find it Ill repost the thread link.

Regards,

ss
