Never heard of that. The nerve is quite deep and you'd get an electric "shock" right through the region of you managed to pinch the nerve.

sometimes I think I worry about impossible bullshit related to this stuff. It is like the discomfort has made me paranoid. so does that mean a PT cannot damage it by accidentally pushing it?

what implement are you using?

due to scarce funds I'm carrying out PT by myself (using a trigger point self massage manual - but unfortunately it skips over intrapelvic massage by recommending going to a PT if this is necessary). I went to one session with a PT and he didn't do any intrapelvic. I asked about it. he said my problem wasn't the prostate. the session he gave me definitely gave me relief for a few hours but I'm interested in massaging intrapelvic because of the fullness and achiness is in the perineum area and around the base and urethra of penis. I seem to be getting better regarding the rectal pain/golfball problem from its worst instances last year and want to make more progress with the symptoms "towards the front". I have made progress there too. I seem to be able to avoid sudden extreme stress induced involuntary perineum "tightening" that I suffered from commonly last year. but the mild version I still have is quite discouraging and seems to be a factor in urinary frequency (sitting down in the drivers seat of the car always triggers these symptoms and I don't look forward to driving). I've been using a tennis ball to assist massages in the abdominals, buttocks and thighs. I also use elbow, knuckles, paired fingers etc.

one other note. I have the 2nd edition on AHIP so I haven't seen the trigger point list for intrapelvic included therein. since I bought my 2nd edition at end of last year I'm not eager to buy 3rd edition for one extra page.

I'm trying to maintain a routine of 1 hour yoga stretching plus 30 minutes of swimming a day.
