Are you sure? I thought you thought this board was not doing very well.
It is not even an antithesis.
Yes, it is.
I found out that people sometimes want more than one answer.
But you are misleading him. I hope you realize that whatever you post on the internet people take seriously. And people with this condition take things very seriously, believe me.
And I just wanted to give Wally my answer, if it is allowed. Nothing else.
It's more than obvious you can give your answer. If anyone is taking the time to argue, what's the point? And I just ask that you remember people are taking whatever you say seriously, regardless of whether you like me, the webmaster, or the board. Nothing else!
This communication provides general information, and is not a substitute for face-to-face medical care. A doctor-patient relationship should not be assumed by the reader.

Wally, the link between cycling and impotence (ED) is well known. It is outside the range of this website, but is is a proven fact. See this : http://healthlink.mcw.edu/article/1023994375.html

When my symptoms began, two of the first five doctors I saw suggested I most likely had a stricture. Both wanted to do a cystoscopy. I allowed the second doctor to perform the procedure, after which he told me I had a stricture which he had repaired. He indicated that my symptoms would clear up in about ten days. After the procedure, which cost my insurance company nearly $2000, there was no change in my symptoms or my urinary flow (which was never impeded to begin with). After this he prescribed Levaquin, but refused to see me for another appointment, as there was "nothing else he could do."

After that experience, I gave up on the local doctors in my area. I flew to FL to see Dr. Shoskes. He referred me to Dr. Pontari at Temple University, whom I've seen every 2-3 months for nearly a year now. I'm 50% better on a nightly dose of amitriptyline, and he is continuing to experiment with other drugs at each visit, which will hopefully bring additional improvement.

My point is that doctors like Dr. Shoskes and Dr. Pontari are experts at treating this condition. They don't waste your time with unnecessary procedures or mislead you. To anyone who hasn't done so yet, I would highly recommend seeking the assistance of a doctor who is interested and experienced in treating CPPS. It has certainly been worthwhile for me.

I have to agree strongly with this! There is really only a handful, a handful of doctors in the world who are both interested in CP/CPPS/IC and know what they are doing. If you are going to be helped at all, these are the people to visit. And if you cannot visit them, you should study the pages of this website, because almost every treatment they may suggest is listed here. You just may be able to get your local MD to try some of these treatments on you, and put the antibiotics aside for just a moment. Lastly, if you've been through the treatment mill already with your local doctors, always start your own treatment path with quercetin and Prelief, and the rest of our protocol, before moving on to more "heavy duty" meds and procedures.

Yes I am sure and I try not to think bad about this forum! When this forum started, I was disappointed, because it divided the people and you are right, I thought this forum was not doing well.

At that time I did not know the google board but only a moderated extract that is archived on the St. Johns University. This board looked good because it was open and a rich archive of discussion. Later I saw that the source is the google board, which is absolutely boring because of the lots of negative, racist and inhuman articles. I have posted in the past also there, because I think there are some people, who also dont try to be negative.

So you can say that I have started to change my mind. Excuse me, if I dont always share your opinion.

As the president of the German Prostatitis Hilfe, I hope you try to unite the people and wish that you have success.

Let's drop this argument. It seems like a misunderstanding to me. Nikolaus, it may be better to avoid making comments about the success or failure of this board on other boards. I don't think anyone makes comments about your board at your German website. I would not call it "stagnant" even if it is  It's just common courtesy and good manners. Let's move on.
