Gegatso, I'm glad I could help.
A few points from your response:
1. While I think this condition can be brought on by stress, I don't think stress by itself does it for most people. I think it's a combination of things that all come together in a bad way, from muscle tone, to muscle tension, to stress which causes tension, to activities such as bike riding and hard workouts that add even more. But I do know that once the condition is there, that stress REALLY makes it hurt worse. So a good frame of mind is important.
2. Even though I think you might be a good candidate from CPPS, I strongly discourage relying on my posts to stop any medication prescribed by your doctor. If you choose to stop your antibiotics, fine. But please don't stop them because of anything I said; make sure you are doing this because YOU think it is called for in your case.
3. Regarding believing that your pain can be caused by muscles: I can press on my bladder, and have pain SHOOT up the sides of the penis, to the tip, and then CONTINUE on down into the perineum and to the anal sphincter. Once you irritate and overload nerves, you can get a lot of weird results, including inflammation at the END of where the nerves are.
6 weeks ago I threw my back out doing my daily stretches (a warning to all to WARM UP first). My back has been in dire straights ever since. I hurt only a muscle in the lower back, but when it was at its worst, my ENTIRE back hurt. This too is proof that muscles and nerves do not act alone, but are rather part of a larger, more complex system.
It is common for many of us to not believe the muscles are causing our problems. For me, I was in pain for so long and had ruled out EVERYTHING else that when I finally came to the theories of muscle tension, I was able to look back on everything and a light bulb clicked on.
However, the referred pain is REAL. The referred inflammation is REAL. So it FEELS like something else is wrong, when in fact, the muscles may be the result. I still wrestle with this sometimes when flare ups are bad and my testicles are killing me, but not nearly as often as I used to.
Anyway, read up and tell us what you think. And start poking around your abdominals and perinum and see if you can recreate any pain. Don't worry if you don't, however. It takes some practice. and lastly, start doing some stretches for your pelvic floor. Do a search on the site and you'll get a lot of ideas.
And lastly, remember that no matter how much pain this causes, that chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome is NOT a life threatening illness. It definitely sucks as bad as any condition could suck, but medically, it is not very serious. Keep your spirits up!
Mike

Update...
Well I ought to have AHIP here tomorrow. I feel that'll be of the most help. Yesterday evening things started to go downhill pretty fast for me...much more burning as well as discharge again. (sheesh). A call to the doctors exchange and I had 6 weeks of Cipro in no time. Took the first one at 11pm last night and this morning things were already feeling much better...less burning, etc.
I have no idea if I have an infection now or not. So many sites talk about NBP clearing up with antibiotics it almost makes you wonder if there is some other unknown pathogen in the prostate that causes flare-ups. I am no expert..just a guy in pain with my thoughts. At least I know at the end of this course of Cipro that there will be no way I have any bacteria thing going on. Hopefully within these 6 weeks I can learn and apply stuff from A Headache In The Pelvis and be on my way to a better recovery. I'll tell you what, though...no more wine for me again, period! It's just not worth it. I was just past one month of NO symptoms whatsoever, too.

I just got back from a PT who used biofeedback. My "normal" rectal tension is 5 times above what she normally sees.
This is not medical advice, and I am NOT a doctor of medicine or a related field.
* Age:33 Onset: February 2004.
* 99.9% IMPROVEMENT in 2.5 Years with the first year being the really hard part
* Current Symptoms: Mild irritation of perineal muscles on occasion. Relieved for days at a time by a specific stretch (see below).
* Initial Symptoms: Terrible penile, urethral, rectal, and perineal burning/aching with addition afferent sensations.
* Current Treatments: Deep stretching of the legs and pelvis. Most effective: Deep psoas and levitar ani stretch using the first phase of the "pigeon pose" from Yoga. When a deep pulling is felt in the middle of the pelvis next to the upper rectum, symptoms are completely alleviated for several days.
* Past Treatments Hyperprotection of the perineum for 1.7 years, Walking, Rectal biofeedback, Stanford/Wise-Anderson Protocol, Conditioned deep relaxation practice, Men's Multi-Vitamin and an Extra B-complex pill, all seemed to help.

Discussions of "unknown pathogens" in the prostate are not allowed in this forum; this is because a) this forum specializes in pelvic myoneuropathy, not bacterial prostatitis, but more b) this theory doesn't hold water for 90% of patients out there.
I think it is an important step for you though; you MUST complete the antibiotics courses that your doctor prescribes so that you can be 100% confident that you don't have an infection. This is almost a prerequisite to full committment to the Stanford/Wise-Anderson Protocol.
But this doesn't mean you can't start doing things recommended by Dr. Wise, stretching, relaxing, massaging. Might as well take the time to do both, and then you won't have wasted 6 weeks if it turns out you don't have an infection.

Yeah, what Mike said.
For example, I took Cipro for a while, Levaquin, etc, all in 4 week doses. I was even getting shots of some antibiotic at the Urologists office. Finally, I took an anti-parasitic (forget which one) for a few weeks. (That was some nasty stuff with nasty side-effects.)
Meanwhile, I had already begun doing the Stanford/Wise-Anderson Protocol while I was still taking the anti-parasitic.
