I think the patients with CFS have the hardest time with exercise. There seems to be a distinct subset of pts with CFS-type symptoms and strong fatigue. Another subset seems to be otherwise completely fit and active, so active that one wonders if there condition isn't purely neuromuscular, wheareas the other subset has an allergic/immune component. Pure speculation ...

I was taking ephedrine when my prostate inflamed. I was a competitive body-builder, and really starting to push my training to the brink after winning my weight class at a local show.

I am not a depressive type person but it bothers me daily to look in the mirror and see a shell of the former athlete I was. I also played soccer in college. I'm only 28.

I have been taking time off from all activity to see if I would get better. I've improved, but I'm not better. It almost makes me want to say screw it. I may die sooner, but at least I looked good, and did what I wanted.

I often fear that if I keep lifting and running with this Ill screw up my sphincters and become incontinent in some way or other. That scares the shiite out of me.

Anyways, I walk in the mornings when the weather permits and on the weekends. I've at least kept my body fat at around 10-11% by eating right. I recommend walking and eating well with this condition. Had I let myself get out of shape I think that coupled with this crap would have really caused emotional and mental problems.

If exercise helps you all, keep it up, for me it seems to take my mind off this stuff, but the next day I seem to have more urinary tract irritation and an overall feeling of tightness in between my legs, and irritation at the anus. This stuff certainly isn't fun.

LAter,

I have heard that many, many times in the past seven years of my reading posts about our condition.
