Read this study.

I would think that the effects are reversible if you stop taking SP and don't take Proscar or any other similar medications for a few months. Thereafter the ED may persist due to psychological factors.
Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.

Did anyone here had a problem with Saw Palmetto . I thought people with chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome would have tried saw palmetto at some point of time before discovering that it is not made for us . If so, did you get any effect on the erection ?
i can't believe how much I should be unlucky to have been one of those 1.1% . the Gp suggested to me a long time ago, and he never talked about side effects. moreover on the bottle they suggest 2 tabs twice daily which is 320mg. I rarely did reach the limit. maybe for less than a week. and after that I was taking 160mg daily. when I odn t forget to take it.
what I am sure of now is that YES ThE SP did affect the texture and volume of my ejaculate. after few days of taking it I realized that. it was more watery. but now what to do ? I mean I don t understand how an herb can have a permanet effect on my sexual function. does anyone know why ? let s say Proscrar, does anyone know why sometimes the effect is permanent ?
i am sorry for all these posts but today the pain is back and I cannot stand myself. I am still doing the stretches and meditation and they seem to help with pain. But I can t stop to be worried about the other problem .

Painful ejaculation

Post by jdavis »

In addition to typical chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome symptoms (urinary frequency, urgency and difficulty starting urination), I am also experiencing very painful ejaculations. Although I try to remain as relaxed as possible, I feel extreme muscle tension in the penis and the rectum at the moment of ejaculation. A hot bath usually helps relax the muscles, but I typically feel pain for several hours/days after each incident.

I am convinced that all of my symptoms are related to some sort of muscle dysfunction, possibly caused by some very heavy lifting I did the day before the onset of symptoms.
