I am 44 year old and I am suffering from chronic non bacterial Prostatitis since last 6 years. I have only bladder symptoms which are frequency, urgency and burning in urine. My frequency is sometime as bad as 11-15 minutes. I have no pain symptom anywhere.
I have tried a host of western medicine but they have just released symptoms temporarily for a few days.
Since last 4 months I am taking the following medicine – Prostate Health (Now foods) that has a mix of following herbs- Saw Palmetto, Bita-Sitosterol, stinging Nettle Root extract, Quercetin, Turmeric root extract, Pumpkin Seed oil and Lycopene. I am also taking Graminex Pollen aid. This medicine has helped me in reducing the burning feeling in my urine and also helped me in frequency and urgency symptom by about 50% but my frequency and urgency is still very annoying.
Is there anything new/ different I should do that will help me?

The Prostate Health tablets are not recommended. We recommend Quercetin suppliers quercetin where you actually get the quercetin that's promised (tests show many other brands contain only trace amounts!).

It sounds like you have Interstitial Cystitis (dysuria = the feeling of pain, burning, or discomfort upon urination).

Sounds really annoying, hope you will improve. I guess you have many options to try. Could be "IC" but could also be overactive bladder since you have no pain. Have you tried anticholinergic drugs (eg tolterodine/vesicare)? Maybe try physical therapy (PT) as well to see if you have trigger points which may induce frequency. Maybe get a proper diagnosis from a good urologist and/or PT first (although you probably consulted one I presume). Trying Quercetin suppliers quercetin (eg cysta Q) wouldn't hurt as well indeed. If you haven't read it I would recommend reading "a headache in the pelvis" also.
34 yrs old. Now rectal pain, some suprabic discomfort an occasional urgency. Still trying to figure out what helps. Episode of frequency in 2008 but this dissapeared for a year.
Re: No Pain Symptoms but only Urinary symptoms - Frequency, urgency and Burning
I have consulted a couple of Urologists and chronic non bacterial Prostatitis is their diagnosis. All my blood test and PSA are normal. My Prostate is slightly enlarged (40 gms). I am taking an anticholinergic drug (derifenacin 7.5 mg) since last couple of months so it has helped some. I have read the book 'Headache in the Pelvis" as well. Also the books by Dr. Geo Espinosa. I live in India so I have access to lot of Yoga and Meditation techniques to take care of mental aspects of this problem. But I am nto able to find any Physical therapy in India who has specialised on Pelvic issues. I want to try Physical therapy but still searching for it.

I am sorry you feel so bad and seem to have tried a lot. As webslave mentioned you may have symptoms that are a bit more on the interstitial cystitis side of CPPS. You might try PT on your own (maybe find a PT who does regular external trigger point work to guide you) and treatments more focussed on this e.g. an "IC diet", amitriptilline or antihistamines and see if that helps. Just my two cents. Be well.
