Cold weather effects

Post by aduchovn »

Does anyone find it impossible and painful to urnate when body cold?.
I am outside a lot. I can not urinate if temperature is below 60 F. Any hunters or fishermen have this problem?

i dont have this particular problem, but I do feel worse when it's cold outside. Also both of my flare-ups happened in cold weather.

OK, too lazy to change my signature, but my sympoms have improved significantly, some went away competely. Old sig below.

Age: 27 | Onset Age: 23 | Symptoms: differ from year to year, anal/buttocks pain(especially when moving around/walking), burning when pee every once in a while, muscle tightness after peeing, sometimes but rarely burning after,, but no urgency , i pee about 4-5 times a day. Stomach bloating, hard to pass gas, occasional sharp pain in right side lower abs.

Helped By: alcohol(maybe i am wrong about this one,, helps some symtoms, possibly makes other symptoms worse), water, Beer always cures urethra pains/burning.
| Worsened By: showers, defecation, massage?, stress, winter, early spring, Snapple diet iced tea?.

Makes no difference: sitting(try putting something under back legs of your chair to tilt it slightly), masturbation(2-3 times a day usually),(update, now down to 1-2 times a day), used to ride bike without a seat on for 4 hours some days 3-4 days a week- no problem, spicy foods - no problem, 3-4 cups of black tea a day- no problem

There is some association between average temperature and male pelvic pain symptoms. (Influence of environmental factors on chronic prostatitis-like symptoms in young men: results of a community-based survey. link)

A Finnish study concluded that the occurrence of prostatitis symptoms in men living in northern Finland is higher than that reported in other parts of the world, perhaps as a result of "the cold climate". (Epidemiology of prostatitis in Finnish men: a population-based cross-sectional study. link)

I have been asked by a few people and my one doctor if the cold weather or weather changes in general affect this condition. I know people with chronic low back pain and other chronic muscle pains have a increase in pain when the weather goes from warm to cold or cold to warm. I know for me I do not see a difference in my pain when the weather changes. If I am not feeling good or if I am bad the weather has no part of it. I know a few have mentioned that if they are outside in cold weather they pee more or have trouble going for me I can say if I am in spasm and having pain and am outside in the cold then I do tend to pee more then if it was warm. But I know that people without this problem if they are outside and it is cold out then they need to pee more then if it is warm out so I believe this is just a normal body function. Another example is if you put ice down on the perineum and on the penis to cut down on inflamation then these acts tend to make you want to pee and increase the need to do so to.
