Re: My case - looking for advice and help
I did not have major complains in the past 14 months. Flare ups here and there but probably I either got accustomed or maybe taking in the last 8 months 2. 5mg cialis daily as prescribed by my urologist really helps. It is vasodilator and in small amounts it may help plus have many other benefits ...

Re: My case - looking for advice and help
On another note - I found this Liposomal Curcumin product by a very high-quality company called Manna.
https://manna.com/products/liposomal-curcumin
However I am wary about one of the inactive ingredients: Natural orange oil (less then 0.5 mg per serving).
Does anybody know whether such amount of ...

Re: My case - looking for advice and help
So here is my progress report from the last 10 months: the symptoms were fluctuating. Same as last year - the symptoms were much better during the 2-month stay in Europe. Also, since June 2022 I had some problems with a neck pain, caused by two bulging/herniated cervical disks. It is an old problem ...

Re: My case - looking for advice and help
Not happy with Uribel . I used it 3 evenings in a row and yesterday night had to wake up every 2 hrs to pee.
So, I am doing some research on my condition as advised by Dr. Moldwin. He told me we can check whether it is the bladder lining that's sensitized or the nerves (according to me that would ...

Hi Mark (webslave), do you give one-on-one paid or unpaid consultations regarding a particular case? Zoom or telephone? Thanks.

Re: My case - looking for advice and help
What about the magnesium taurate? There are articles about the role of magnesium in attenuating contractions and neuroinflamation etc. BPS/IC - pretty well established. The taurate will not give bowel problems. The rest of the ingredients may as well be placebo.

Re: My case - looking for advice and help
Interesting things are happening: while I am addressing successfully my new flareup and the sleeping problems my tailbone woke up and in a more pronounced way. As I wrote somewhere above, last summer in Europe I fell on my tailbone but relatively soft landing and after a week all was gone (xray: not ...

Re: My case - looking for advice and help
I have a flare up in the last three days. Kind of bad, even at night.
Yesterday I had my Pelvic floor PT and felt good for about 6 hrs afterwards. Usually I feel good at least a week after PT. So it is not from the muscles but has to be from the other component - the bladder.
Here are some new ...

Re: My case - looking for advice and help
Is there some data or knowledge about the use of Marshmallow Root ( Althaea officinalis ) or Slippery Elm ( Ulmus rubra ) for irritated bladder? They have been used for hundreds of years. Today they are known to have uses for mucous membrane linings of the G.I. tract. Recently I learned that some ...

Re: My case - looking for advice and help
However, since I am using Bladder Builder (1 week) I have shorter intervals and smaller volumes so not sure if this is coincidence but I will probably stop it for a week and see if it will improve.

Re: My case - looking for advice and help
Hi webslave, I take it that because Tips page is called "UCPPS Prostatitis Tips" it is relevant for IC too.
Also, I will give another try to OTC-s. Started taking the recommended dosage of Bladder Builder few days ago (2x2 daily).
Do you think it's the best out there and do you think it provides ...

Re: My case - looking for advice and help
I noticed this Tips page linked to another post. Very good one! I have never seen it before.
Is it really for prostatitis or also for IC?
Also I saw "buffered Vitamin C" recommended up to 2g. I read what buffered means. But buffered or not isn't C the worst offender. I think taking 1g a day for 3 ...

Re: My Story. Your thoughts? CPPS or IC?
Did you ever try the effect of valium or valium-gabapentin-baclofen suppository on your symptoms? It is not a good or permanent solution but one IC urologist told me that if it works well it may point to a Pelvic floor dysfunction. Of course PFD may be only one of the components.
