2 Years Pain Free!

Hi All, I haven't been here in a while, in fact I couldn't even remember the name of the forum. But that was not the case 3-4 years ago when I was here all the time. I wanted to briefly share my story in the event it can provide some perspective and hope for some of you. Back in 2017 while on a ...

Re: Perfect sitting cushion?

Guys - I recently purchased the GSeat Lite: https://gelcoproducts.com/products/gseat-lite/

I have to say it's the best cushion I have tried. Not too thick, so it works well in a car seat and the cut-out, which is really the most important part, does provide relief from pressure on the perineum. I ...

Re: Sitting Discomfort

Thanks LabMonkey. Hopefully this is just something that will wind-down over time, just like the rest of our symptoms. Same thing here, morning is always better, and firm chairs are tolerable.

Re: Sitting Discomfort

I've tried the tailbone cut-out cushion which worked great when I was having a lot of tailbone pain. I might try a donut cushion since there seems to be more open space available.

Re: Sitting Discomfort

I used to be able to sit on anything and never think about it. Now when I sit, there is either a dull ache or a pinching feeling in the perineum. Sometimes even near the sitz bones. I am trying not to adjust my posture too much as I often catch myself using my ab muscles to take some of the pressure ...

Sitting Discomfort

One of my stubborn symptoms is sitting discomfort. Fortunately it's getting better over time, but while many of my other symptoms have been relieved, mild sitting discomfort continues. Prior to this, I never really thought about sitting. I'm wondering if anyone knows the origin of this discomfort ...

Re: CPPS story

KS - you may want to try some CBD oil which can help calm your system. Also, try supplementing with magnesium which seems to relax muscles and is a good nerve tonic. I second the use of belly breathing. You want to feel your anus bulge just a little bit. This will relax the pelvic floor.

13 Months and 95% Better

Hi Guys, to all of you suffering I just want to offer some words of encouragement to help you stay positive. I've been dealing with this condition since Oct 2017, and while I'm not completely out of the woods, I do feel 95% better. Here are a few things I've learned from this condition.

The ...

Re: Bacterial or Psychological: Oral Sex Origin

My PT didn't like to use the term Trigger Points because she said you don't always find a single point. Sometimes the muscle is just restricted in its range of motion. For that reason she used the terms "restriction". In time, the muscles become less restricted.

The only thing that helps: laying down, sleeping, hot baths, hiking.
These are the same activities that help me. Hiking is fantastic.

Re: prostatitis since may HELP

Stan - how are you doing? Looks like you are coming to terms with the fact that this condition can often be totally psychosomatic. My nervous system, guilt, etc is calming down and so are my symptoms. Yours will too. Read John Sarno, Divided Mind. He makes a LOT of sense. Freud and others before him ...

Re: My Management Plan

Great post. I do a lot of the same things including magnesium, ashwagandha, stretching. I have found CBD oil to be excellent for calming anxiety. In my particular case, I know exactly what set-off the cascade of events. It's been 1 year now and as my nervous system calms down, my pain calms down. I ...

Re: prostatitis since may HELP

If you continue reading about chlamydia and STDS then you risk furthering your bout with CPPS. These topics all induce fear deep inside and believe it or not manifest as muscular tension which results in pain and all of the other weird symptoms that everyone talks about on here. If you've been ...

Re: Is this Prostatitis or am I falling apart? :(

By the way, I have been experiencing a totally flaccid penis where its hanging long and relaxed and longer than usual.
I sometimes have the same issue with my penis seeming to hang much longer than normal. I think it's because I'm so focused on pelvic floor relaxation along with warm baths that ...

stanfelder wrote: Tue Oct 09, 2018 4:27 pm How many sessions did you guys do? She has me down for 6, although her schedule is leaving a gap for a week which I would think isn’t the best idea.
I did around 5 or 6 sessions and then took a break to let things settle down. I don't think there is any set method, just see how you are responding.
