My story / some tips for everyone
Hi All,
I've been able to have a good life for the past 1½ to 2+ years with this condition and things seems to be under control. I just wanted to briefly share my story and give some tips to other sufferers here.

Nicotine
I believe nicotine makes the pain worst and can start flares. At least its the case with me. Now have seen it happening twice, thus its a good confirmation. I am an ex-smoker, who quit 6 years ago.

Re: Symptoms worse after internal therapy & magnesium
Thanks for the previous comments. Got some relief afterwards when I went on a holiday.. I have a feeling that those cramps might of been related to nicotine. I was using some nicotine products at that time.

Re: Symptoms worse after internal therapy & magnesium
For past while, my pain areas have been different. I am getting more pain in the abdomen and not as much in lower back. The lower abdomen around bladder and surrounding areas and the lower abdomen sides are common. However, I am getting more pain around the upper abdomen below the ribcage on one ...

Chicken was a big surprise for me too... at one point I took a course of strong antibiotics for a finger infection. Didn't have much issues with chicken for few months but came back again

Hi Jimmy,
I can relate to your post defecation symptoms. It went on for me for a long time. But I think I know what it is caused for me at least. I have developed/had many food intolerances and after a lot of trial and errors. I have found that for me the post defecation pain in areas you ...

Thought to make an update... when I usually come here, I am in trouble. So visiting this place is quite nerve-racking

Re: Perfect sitting cushion?
I had tried different type of coccyx cushions and even bought a block of foam but with not much help. In long drives, I have found the "Gelco GSeat Ultra Pressure Cushion" a bit of relief but its quite expensive. In terms of seats you can never go wrong by soft Sofas, I have noticed significant ...

Saw a doctor, did the dip test and no sign of infection. He said it should be fine.

I have found some seats with the middle part removed help... apart from this I found office chairs which have a wide, soft fabric base to help and also its important to have a chair on which you can lean back without much resistance from the chair

Cold and prostatitis
With the weather getting colder again, I am sensing some increase in pain in perineum and lower back as usual. Also in lower abdomen. Since last year I have been wearing thermal pants underneath my trousers and it has helped a bit.
