To answer your question... Yes.
My first symptom was difficulty urinating with pain at the tip of the penis. I didn't get the golf ball feeling until quite a bit later.
If your pelvic floor is tensing up on the urethra and prostate you will have urination issues.

Re: Do padded cushions help?
Here's my post back, thanks all for the advice above.
I ordered the G seat for 59 bucks from http://www.gelcoproducts.com/
I've been using it in the car for the commute and the flights in the plane as well. While it's not a cure, it has made a big difference!

Do padded cushions help?
Hi all,
In addition to my daily job that requires a good deal of sitting, I am now commuting 2 hours a day. Anyone have any success stories with cushions such as these?

I tend to get flare ups after a lot of driving... might be a help?

Prostate 2.4 supplement
I just moved to a new area and checked in with a Urologists. Unfortunately there are not any PT's in my area that deal with pelvic pain, but due to the chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome I've had over the last year and a half and a track record of prostate cancer in my family the Doc ...

Re: Very Hot Tubs....
So,
I researched the sitz bath a bit, but what is the bag for? How do you use it?
I'm going to have to fix my tub, as the control panel went nuts.
104 F is good, but 108 is much better.

Patrick,
Please message me the contacts... Austin is a few hours from here, but they may know of someone local I can go to.
Thanks!

Hi All,
I went to Nancy at Creative therapeutics in Fresno for internal and external PT for almost a year. I would highly recommend her and the staff. Unfortunately, I've had to move and can no longer see her. See is very understanding and is trained in Dr Wise's methods.
Here's the link, and no ...

Very Hot Tubs....
Hi all,
I've seen this referenced, but it's amazing the temporary relief you can get from an extremely hot spring or tub.
My hot tub that is usually limited at 104F (industry standard) broke the other day. It now runs up to 108F.
10 minutes of that and I can feel most of the tension completely ...

Thanks for the good diagram...
In general that is where I'm working, but unfortunately I had some minor pain today. I'll keep at it, but I may need to find another PT around here. One thing my old PT used to do is work the glutes via external therapy. I can tell they are a bit tight, and I'm ...

Self PT attempt.. did it work?
Hi all,
So as not to hijack a similar thread on here I decided to start my own on my self PT experience.

Thanks for the reply.
Today things have settled down. I ordered my free bottle of Quercetin on your the above recommendation, but I'm curious... how do pills help relax the pelvic floor? Or is it they keep the prostate from being inflamed?

CMT23,
I'm in the same basket as you.... I started having symptoms around a year and a half ago. I was able to go to a great PT for internal and external work and had almost put this behind me. I have since moved and no longer have a local PT to go to. I had a flare up that consisted of a burning ...

Re: Another CPPS candidate?
First visit to PT was a great experience.
She found some tense areas and trigger points, and while the internal work was not much fun, she was able to pinpoint where the trouble is.
The last 20 minutes they put me on some electropulse stimulation for my lower back with a heat pad... felt great ...
