I have been doing bikram yoga for almost 3 years now - 3 or 4 times a week on average. It is something that was recommended to me from my pelvic therapist. It has been very helpful for me. It is time consuming but I will continue to do it...most likely forever.
I agree with webslave that any ...

Re: My Story, My Blessings, & Your Inputs
I took Rapaflo for a month, as an experiment, after my last visit to my Urologist. I thought it worked pretty well. I was able to sit at times without discomfort or a cushion. Now I didn't care for the congestion or the retro grade ejaculation. I need to call my Uroloigist and consult with him about ...

Back with more updates -
I started doing reiki sessions...DMcU thanks for the tip. Actually it seems to help. I think I have been 7 or 8 times. It has relaxed my glutes and pelvic area. I am not sure exactly how it works but it also relaxes my mind and it is a cool, natural buzz for a few hours. I ...

Re: Which cushion is best?
I have purchased about 3 cushions and in my experience you get what you pay for. I didn't get any of the cushions in you post. It is a little bit of trial and error to see which one works best for you.

Re: How important was/is trigger point therapy in your recov
It was and still is important for my recovery. I get the most benefit from external trigger point. My glutes, hamstrings, piriformis, quadratus lumborum (QL) were full of trigger points. I go once a month now - today I had a session as a matter of fact. These muscle groups all have effects on my ...

Re: Bentyl ( Dicyclomine )
Update - I have been taking this for a few weeks now. I am not the most consistent with it but overall it seems to help me relax my pelvic area. I notice my clenching is reduced for a few hours and it lifts my mood a little bit as well.
I will keep it up and check back in a few more weeks.

Re: Had a 'Lively Discussion' with my GP!
I agree with webslave on both of his points. I would drop him if possible and if not try to educate him....if he is open to that.
I had a similar experience with a GP I had for a number of years. He meant well but had a horrible bedside manner and talked down to me, all the while not knowing how to ...

Re: Do padded cushions help?
They help me. I sit on one at work. My chair at work blows so it's like sitting on concrete...
In my experience you get what you pay for. Try them out first, if you can. I have purchased 3 so far. The one I use at work is fabricated by yours truly - the cushion was cheap foam and was flat ...

Bentyl ( Dicyclomine )
Has anyone tried this medication? My GP prescribed it to me today as an "experiment". I did some research and it seems to work for IBS - which isn't a problem for me. He wants to see if this will relax my anal tension. It isn't too bad recently. It varies from a 0-2 throughout the day.

Job change?
This is a little off the typical discussion here but it is chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome related...potentially.
I have an apparent opportunity to change jobs that would also increase my base salary by 15-20 k and overall pay by about that amount. I have been with my current ...

I found these capsules on amazon the other day. I might give it a shot after my quercetin experiment I trying now. I picked up the spice but I am not to fond of the taste to eat it more than a few times a week.
