Re: Calman's case
Yes, I do. I have bought every edition and now have the 5th Edition. It's my pelvic pain bible. I do have some trouble figuring out the diagrams though  , because of course it cannot be 3D and they have to "flatten" everything out. So that's why I asked how many inches in the anterior ...

Re: Urinary Frequency TP Muscles? Correlation?
Jay or anyone else - Would you tell me how to best reach the anterior levator ani, Superior Portion?
About how many inches in is it rectally? I understand that anterior mean it will be towards the front, or belly, but as far as as the clock comparison goes where should I search? This thing is ...

The hyper-irritable spot that felt like salt in the wound went away with self-treatment with a tool and all of my scrotum pain disappeared right along with it. Thanks all for your input. This condition is very weird and it's a shame more doctors aren't aware of what can be done to treat it. For ...

Webslave made the following comment to someone who experienced urethral burning after urination and feeling of a UTI after ejaculation. What I would like to know is what we should do when we experience this? Should we search for trigger points to release or would that be considered "neural work ...

Re: Can trigger points feel like an open sore?
I have not overworked it because this is the first time I've been able to reach this spot. I've been working spots out that are towards the outside first. Yes, "salt in the wound" describes it well. It is very, very tender. Ouch! I also feel it refer pain when I touch it. It is by far the most ...

Can trigger points feel like an open sore?
I have a rectal trigger point about 4 - 5 inches in and when I use the crystal wand on it the pain level is like that of an open sore. It is hyper, hyper irritable. Do you any of you experience that same pain level with any of your trigger points? Most of mine just ache or hurt and do not have this ...

Coccygeus or Piriformis AND How to Treat
Would some of you explain how to tell the difference (internally) between coccygeus muscles and the piriformis :?: I have a spot about 4 - 5 inches in that hurts  . I'd like to know what muscle it is.
Also, any specific advice on how to treat it? Does it tend to take a long time to calm down?

Re: Scrotum Skin Pain Trigger Point (due to Quadratus lumboram)
Not jock itch because it would never be present in the morning. It would start in the afternoon and get worse towards evening, then go away. Tracked it to the quadratus lumborum. Wise's HITP says QL can cause testicle pain. Think that sitting aggravates QL which aggravates testicles which causes ...

Anyone tried licorice (liquorice) for low cortisol?
I saw discussion of this somewhere in this forum and I'd like to know if anyone has experienced fewer trigger points or less muscle tension from taking licorice or other natural treatments for low cortisol?

Regarding Morton's Foot, see this web-site:
http://www.triggerpointbook.com/mortons.htm
It is described as trying to walk on ice skates, which can cause instability in the hips. They don't say it directly, but obviously that could lead to trigger points in the pelvic area. They explain how to put ...

Re: footwear recommendation? (illiopsoas/low back pain)
If you don't mind wearing clogs that may be considered women's wear (although plenty of men wear clogs in Europe) Dansko clogs with a back on them are the best and will give you arch support and one to two inches of rubber. The only hazard is uneven surfaces like gravel or cracked pavement or ...
