Re: Depressed with testicle, rectum and coccyx pain.

Go to Fetske Hogen Esch in Enkhuizen. She is very specialized in this and a very nice person. If she is far away from you its still worth it and she does longer appointments. Highly recommended. If you are closer to Groningen Pelvicum is also good.

Re: No Pain Symptoms but only Urinary symptoms - Frequency, urgency and Burning

I am sorry you feel so bad and seem to have tried a lot. As webslave mentioned you may have symptoms that are a bit more on the interstitial cystitis side of CPPS. You might try PT on your own (maybe find a PT who does regular external trigger point work to guide you) and treatments more focussed on ...

Re: No Pain Symptoms but only Urinary symptoms - Frequency, urgency and Burning

Sounds really annoying, hope you will improve. I guess you have many options to try. Could be "IC" but could also be overactive bladder since you have no pain. Have you tried anticholinergic drugs (eg tolterodine/vesicare)? Maybe try physical therapy (PT) as well to see if you have trigger points ...

Re: Some specific questions for you all

With regard to IC/CPPS. I agree I might have to have a cysto to rule out stuff. I'll give it a little time first.

But there is an inherent risk with regard to an IC diagnosis. We all believe here that in "chronic prostatitis" there is absolutely nothing wrong with the prostate. In IC however there ...

Re: Some specific questions for you all

To HCR123.

I have gotten better for a long time, many have. You will too. I am 100% sure of that. Definitely not easy to stop catastrophizing, I know. Try to have faith, yoga, PT, rest days, meditate, relax and dont try to rush it cause it will take time. You can't fight this, its more acceptance ...

Re: Some specific questions for you all

Thanks. As always I appreciate your feedback! I have the book and should re read it. Thanks for the reminder. Its great stuff.

One more question for the group:

Whats been puzzling me is the changed nature of my symptoms. Eight years ago I had a bout of chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain ...

Re: Some specific questions for you all

Dear all,

My last post was in 2011. Since then life has been pretty good. Now and then some complaints or little setbacks but nothing major. I remember thinking just recently "I will never develop this again, I think I am over this". Well, I guess you will never really get over this. This maybe our ...

Same here, seems to come and go these days. Just the nature of the beast I suppose. Relax, dont panic and you will get back to where you were soon. Keep us posted and good luck.

Re: Flare after four years.

Dear Garys,

I am having teh same thing. A really bad flare after in my case almost a year of absolutely no complaints. The starnge thing is that my last big flare, which lasted a year, went away at a time when I was almost not treating my self for a little time since I felt that trigger point ...

Re: Wise Anderson Clinic July 2011

Dear George,

Thanks for your account of the WA clinics. You mentioned several times that your sitting pains reduced during treatment. Maybe its difficult to say but do you attribute this to the treatment of internal or external trigger points and which were responsible in your case you would say?

Re: Some specific questions for you all

Dear all. After having had complaints for almost a year my symptoms suddenly disappeared about 8 months ago.I can tell you life was a lot better without CPPS! I almost started to feel that I was cured. However, a few days ago I suddenly felt some rectal pain and all of a sudden the symptoms ...

Re: Gluten linked to bladder pain

This might be of interest to people who believe gluten might be an important factor. Taken from journal watch:

Gluten caused gastrointestinal symptoms in some individuals without celiac disease.

Many people without celiac disease actively follow gluten-free diets and insist that gluten produces ...

This is an editorial from journal watch regarding this study:

Pregabalin for Chronic Prostatitis/Pelvic Pain
Improvement, albeit modest, suggests a neuropathic mechanism.

In the syndrome of chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain, absence of infection or other obvious etiologies suggests a ...

Re: Posterior Femoral Cutaneous Nerve

Dear nomopain,
Welcome back, I learned a lot from your previous posts. I guess unfortunately flares are to be expected, it would have been a miracle if it would have stayed away forever without some flare now and then. Although this new complaint could be a more localized nerve irritation problem ...

Re: Some specific questions for you all

Dear all, I would like to see whether someone feels they would be able to enlighten me with regard to the above mentioned questions. Furthermore, I would be much interested in advice on how to treat the area above the prostate. This is a very painful area for me but I am hesitant to treat it given ...
