I haven't been on for quite a few months, not because I'm cured but because I've accepted the disease and have chosen to not let it define me.
Since I posted last time I have been doing very well considering. At this point I'm eating everything I used to eat, with the exception of coffee. I'm even ...

Where on the ankle?
You probably overstimulated nerves and by getting stressed over it, you are generating more nerv stimulation and causing more sensations of having to urinate...I seriously doubt you did anything to damage your self...Your having a flair up. That's all...Be as calm as you can ...

I think I did something stupid. Need advice.
I have been doing fairlywell the last few weeks with the only real symptom my urgency/frequency (I don't have to run to the bathroom, but I almost always feel like going)
I have been using a CES device as an adjunctive to my meditation that I'm doing. A CES device is like a TENS, but not nearly as ...

Re: CPPS is taking my life from me (Brett's Case)
Question... Benzos.
Okay, I have been taking benzodiazepine medications for over a year now. I don't abuse them, I take them every day, but never really taking more than what "works". Here is what I don't get. I am at the point now where I just don't want to take them anymore. I mean, I go to ...

Re: Vitamin D deficiency
Ramana, I've been taking 4000 IU of Carlson Vitamin D for the last month and it seems to be helping. I'm having urgency issues as always, but the irritation/rawness/inflamed feeling has decreased a lot.
Carlson has a good rep in the supplement community. I also use their cod liver oil and Vit E ...

Re: New Present: Uteropelvic Junction Obstruction
UPJ obstructions are congenital and they range in severity. The ureter and renal pelvis develop separately in utero (as a fetus) and need to join together. If something happens during that developmental phase, an obstruction where they join can result. UPJ obstructions are in the spectrum of ...

New Present: Uteropelvic Junction Obstruction
I got a great Christmas present this year. A new medical problem. Thanks Santa!
On November 4th I had to go to the emergency room due to major flank pain on my right side. The ER doc did a cat scan and he said I had a kidney stone. He prescribed me a few things, including pain pill. The next day I ...

Try a trampoline. Jumping is a good all around exercise and even circulates your lymph node system. They are cheap too. I bought mine on Amazon for about $100.00.

Re: how many Australians
You might also check out the IC website to see how many Aussies are out there, as their treatment protocol is very similar to ours. In fact, pretty much everyone agrees that the differences between IC/CPPS are minimal and in fact closely related in many ways.

Drinking cranberry juice with this condition is like adding gas to a bonfire. I live off of filtered water and organic milk. You should definitely stay away from acidic foods and drinks.

Re: Intravesical Alkalinized Lidocaine helps IC/PBS
I wonder how it would affect the pelvic nerves and the body in general if it was used via an enema?
A woman on the IC site cured herself by doing colonics.
They have been doing some studies and apparently there is a lot of cross talk between the nerves in the colon and bladder among other things.

Re: Trigger point injections...
From everything I read, they are just a temporary fix. I also personally think injections are just too intrusive. I can see why people get them though. Chronic pain and discomfort will drive you to do many things you never thought you'd consider.

Re: My case (newbie from Russia)
I agree with the surgery part. It would be insanity to remove anything out of your pelvic area because there isn't just one organ to deal with. It's a pelvic problem that encompasses everything in there. The people who resort to surgery either have no change in symptoms or additional symptoms they ...

Re: New Member with questions- Please help!!
People don't realize how powerful and orgasm is and how it affects your body; especially when you are Type A, high strung, or just generally tense. My whole problem started exactly like yours did. Multiple orgasms daily for week and months on end. On April 6, 2007, I was sitting down stroking away ...
