Re: Anyone near Toronto ever seen Nelly Faghani?
Yes, I have been to see Nelly. I have seen her five times and I would say she was having an effect; it is too soon to say I have had pain relief, but I have felt an 'opening up'. Early indications are that she will be able to help. The internal work was causing an escalation in my anxieties, and ...

Re: Vitamin D deficiency
I was told I was calcium and vitamin D deficient about six months ago; supplementation got the calcium up to normal range, but even though I was taking vit D at 2000iu daily, it remained deficient. I have boosted the D to 3000 iu. Don't take my word for it but I believe the FDA last week suggested ...

Re: Sensation Loss and perineal congestion
The Wasser Pain clinic is well worth a try. They offer most of the 'clinical' therapies mentioned on this board. In fact it was at the Wasser that I learned of a HITP. Lyrica, prescribed for me at the Wasser, together with the antidepressent I was already using, gave me reasonable pain relief for 4 ...

Re: Canadians
Billybob: I'm Canadian but in Toronto. I know that doesn't sound helpful, but you and I have the same problem when it comes to PT's: in this country PT's cannot do internal work. Why not look for someone in Seattle?

Re: The managing protocol (what do you do)
Graeme: I haven't an answer for you, but I hope others have. It's a very good question. I am able to live with my pain because it ranges from 1 to a 4 or 5. When this thing started eight years ago I was living with a constant 8. For a long time I have thought how great it would be to have a way of ...

Hi ramana. I haven't got anything to offer you except encouragement. I'm very sorry to hear you are having such a bad episode, but a lot of guys on this website will be thinking of you. Certainly I will. I remember too well my early days of suffering what one uro called my 'moderate' pain. I cannot ...

ramana: I have been to a pain clinic; I am just leaving for a short trip out of town, but I will be back on Thursday. The clinic I went to was a multidisciplinary center, so I had uros interacting with neuros, physios and the rest and tried a variety of different therapies. After a lot of tests I ...

For the remainder of your trip, you will probably do well to buy an inflateable rubber donut, sometimes available from pharmacies (you might have to ask if they have one), and always available from medical appliance stores. You can adjust the inflation of the cushion to get the best balance between ...

I guess I have a good psychiatrist; maybe even an exceptional one. With his help I came to understand why I was a diehard perfectionist, how to let go a little bit, and overcame my OCD and depression. But I would not expect him to diagnose the cause of my pain. At the onset of my pain (I was seeing ...
