And I think others do it too, it’s just that your pelvic floor is more sensitive to it and probably more tight. And you do it more than others. It’s a weakness, just like a bad low back. But I’m confident it can be managed for most of us.

Re: Trying to see whether others may have similar issues
Hello, if I may give my opinion. I have 99% freed myself of this issue.
In my first phase, I was in a positive feedback loop. The pain led to more clenching, and led to worry which also led to clenching. When I got rid of the worry (by having a proper diagnosis), it got better.

Re: My case: primarily walking pain
Hey everyone. I wanted to post an update. I am doing a lot better! The pain is mostly gone and almost never appears unprovoked. And I am on a fast upward trend where I get better for a step or two every around 10 days. What do I think led to this? Most of the things that are talked about here, but ...

I am struggling, thanks, my wife of 42 years having died suddenly and unexpectedly 3 weeks ago.
You are on the right track, well done.

Re: My case: primarily walking pain
And I have a question: I called my urologist and he told me that my prostate is "slightly enlarged" (it is 32cc, my guess is that 30cc is the cutoff but I'm not sure). The urologist said that the prostate might go down in size when the muscles stop pressing on the "prostate capsule".

Re: My case: primarily walking pain
Hi everyone, I wanted to update you on my results from F-Act, the Dutch clinic. I was very impressed and will be posting a review of the clinic to the "Therapists..." part of the forum. Here, I will talk about what they told me.

Re: My Story (Feeling better but not 100%)
Heh, that’s way more than I can do at the moment. I was doing glute (bridge, clam shells), abs (side plank, dead bug lying down) and back exercises (bird dog). Point is to strengthen the stabilizers so that (I guess) the pelvic floor can stop doing that work.

Re: My Story (Feeling better but not 100%)
I want to stress the importance of strengthening and posture. I feel like it is not discussed nearly enough in this community as well as Reddit. Everyone talks about stretching but if your core, glutes, and pelvic muscles are weak, they will continue to re-tighten. Since adding strength training to ...

Thank you for this link, you are an amazing source of knowledge.

Re: My case: primarily walking pain
Thank you, very much, for the answers.
Just to clarify: I get pain on weather change, eg when barometric pressure drops and rain comes. When this happens, I almost always get a headache that lasts for a day. Last month I got a weaker or no headache, but I had pain in the pelvis and sometimes these ...

Re: My case: primarily walking pain
These days I’m going a bit crazy as this issue takes on so many faces. I took a month off work, went to my mom’s place which is a lot more sunny than Netherlands. I hoped I’d get a lot better, but I only got better mentally (I’m a lot less anxious). Physically, maybe a bit better but the symptoms ...

Re: When to add strengthening to stretches
Forgot to add: I usually get worse if I use my abs too much. That activates my pelvic floor in most cases. Last time I felt something in my anus working (wtf) during a light version of a leg raise / dead bug.

When to add strengthening to stretches
Hi all. Stretches are recommended for CPPS, in order to relax the pelvic floor muscles and the surrounding ones. I believe though that in my case (and maybe others) pelvic pain is a result of muscle imbalances. My issues started with lower back pain and (I believe) faulty walking and exercise ...

Re: My case: primarily walking pain
Hey Mark (Webslave), how did you address your walking pain?
And for others (and posterity): initially I got symptom free through ordinary physiotherapy aimed at mobilizing and strengthening my back. I did stuff like bird dog, bridges and cat-cow. If anyone is interested I can write the whole setup ...
