Re: My Story (Feeling better but not 100%)

Hey man I'm 1 weeks on Ami and I noticed some ringing in my ears, some people told me my Body is adjusting to the medication and should give it couple weeks to resolve. Have you had this problem as well

Hey buddy, I actually had that side effect for the first few weeks but it went away ...

Re: My Story (Feeling better but not 100%)

Hello All,

I have now been on Amitriptyline for 6 weeks and I feel as if I never had CPPS. Literally all my symptoms are gone. Some days I get a hint of symptoms if I am not staying active or eating a lot of sugar.

I literally feel cured 100% from Ami. I wonder if it will last long term. We shall ...

Re: My Story (Feeling better but not 100%)

I agree with this! My first CPPS period I defeated with mild targeted strength training, then added more. I get tightness and pain when walking and I believe it’s because my pelvic floor is compensating for something.

Absolutely, the only additions I made to my stretching routine was resistance ...

Re: My Story (Feeling better but not 100%)

Quick update:

Started amitriptyline due to the overwhelming documented evidence that it improves symptoms and in some cases forces them into remission entirely.

So far on 10mg daily for 2 days and feel no different although the professionals say it could take some weeks.

Re: My Story (Feeling better but not 100%)

Hey Folks, Update again.

Over all I am in a much better place than where I was when I started. UCPPS does not dominate my mind nearly as much as it used to and I sort of just learned to accept it. I came to a point where I realized if I never improve past this point, that's fine, although I would ...

Re: 21 yrs old, tests negative, unable to urinate

My symptoms started as just urgency and frequency for the first month. I thought it was just from coffee and honestly did not mind it, but it was a precursor to CPPS, about a month later the other symptoms came on.

So far through treatment all my symptoms are gone except urgency. Perhaps its the ...

Re: My Story (Feeling better but not 100%)

He y'all Quick Update:

I have made a number of additional changes to my routine which for two weeks had me feeling the best I've felt yet.
Unfortunately I had ANOTHER extremely stressful life event, and as predicted I am back to square one. Although now I am much more confident I can quickly abate ...

Re: 6 years with CPPS

European,

During your time suffering from UCPPS, I see you have done a lot of stretching.

Have you put any time into strengthening your core, lower back, and glutes? When these muscles are weak your pelvic floor muscles over compensate for them.

Re: Video Games and UCPPS

LivingRoomFanatic,

To me gaming is extremely relaxing, I don't play competitive multiplayer games. I play role playing games. I am currently playing the Witcher 3's expansion blood and wine, and enjoying the scenic countryside of Toussaint.

For me the standing desk has helped immensely, I have one ...

Re: Video Games and UCPPS

Why not just buy a standing desk for your gaming set up?

I love gaming and I did not want to stop because of CPPS so I got a standing desk

Re: Bacterial Prostatitis

Tickyy,

That clinic in Georgia is a known scam, I think there is a post about it here in the scam section of the forum.

I truly wish you well and I hope you find reprieve from this nightmare but I wasted a month of my life thinking I had an infection. Once I started following wise-Anderson ...

Re: Bacterial Prostatitis

Webslave,

You don't find it at all notable that his father recently passed away, and he admits to being in a state of mental and emotional turmoil, while having these symptoms? I am a little perplexed about the discharge, but other than the discharge it sounds like textbook UCPPS.
What do you think?

Other than antibiotics and stretching, what else have you done to treat your condition?
